Tourist visa to Canada - instructions on how to obtain one
A tourist visa to Canada will be required if you plan to explore the sights and local culture, visit the numerous shopping centers of major cities or simply enjoy the nature of this beautiful country.

In the Canadian system, there is no visa as such, which is called a tourist visa. For these purposes, a visitor visa is suitable, in the application for which you can already specify the purpose of the trip (tourism).
If you need help with filing, we have a service to help you apply for a tourist visa to Canada.
Is it difficult to get a tourist visa

Canada is a rather demanding country to its applicants, so it is not difficult to get a visa only for those who have a good portrait.
Let's understand what a good profile is and who will have the easiest time getting a visa.

1. A good travel history.

This means that you must have at least a few trips to visa countries before. Schengen countries, USA, UK, Australia are mostly relevant.

2. Ties with the homeland: work, real estate, family.

If at work you have been given a certificate with vacation dates and information that your place will be kept for the period of your vacation - this is a reason to return home. But if you've only been working there for a couple months, it's a weak connection.
When minor children stay at home, it will be a sufficient connection to the homeland. But it is important to keep in mind that traveling too long will be considered suspicious.
Real estate is highly valued, so owning one's own home is a significant point of reliability and a reason to return home.

3. No violations of visa regimes of other countries.

Untimely departures, deportations, visa denials by other countries will all negatively affect your chances of a visa to Canada.

4. Authenticity of documents.

Some sources say that the officer will not be able to check some documents, but we do not know all the possibilities and ways, so you should not forge documents. If you are found out in this, then you will be considered a dishonest applicant, denied a visa and issued a ban for 5 years.

5. Financial component.

Canada is a country with a high standard of living and high prices for life. Even a short-term trip will cost you much more than in many other countries. We recommend that you have at least 800,000 rubles in your bank account.

Validity and issuance of a tourist visa

With a tourist visa, you can stay in Canada for up to 6 months if the officer at the airport has not stamped your departure date. If you do get a stamp, leave on the date specified, no later.

If we talk about the terms of issuing a tourist visa, it used to be 10-20 days. Now, because of the situation in the world, the terms have increased greatly and sometimes reach 1 year.

How much does a tourist visa cost

The fee to apply for a tourist visa to Canada is 100 CAD, which is approximately 6,859 rubles.

All applicants over the age of 14 will be required to submit biometric data (photo and fingerprints). The biometric fee is 85 CAD, which is approximately 5,830 rubles.

Application Process

Nowadays, applying for a visa to Canada by tourism is done online through a personal account on the official website canada.ca.

Reasons for denial of a tourist visa

The reasons for refusal can be quite different, but the majority of refusals are due to the fact that applicants do not meet the requirements of the Canadian government, or attach false documents.
The visa refusal letter itself may contain different wording. Let's break down the main reasons for refusals:

1. Insufficient ties with the Homeland.
In this case, the Canadian immigration service is not sure that you will return home after the trip.

2. Insufficient financial support.
This usually happens when you do not have enough money in your account to cover airfare, rent and daily expenses.

3. Data mismatch.
If there are any important data discrepancies between the forms and documents, the immigration officer may find it suspicious.

4. Previous violations of visa regimes.
Everything is transparent here - do not violate the rules of entry and exit, do not violate the laws of other countries, all this can affect the visa to Canada.

To summarize

The rules for issuing a tourist visa to Canada and the list of documents are not complicated at all. If you are an avid traveler and comply with the laws, most likely there will be no problems with the visa.
