Saskatchewan Work Experience: Immigration for people working in the province
Saskatchewan Work Experience – one of the four areas of Saskatchewan's immigration program. It is relevant for those who are currently living and working legally in the province, or who have completed an education program.

Category programs
This area consists of 6 different programs.

Skilled Worker

This program is for people who have worked in Saskatchewan for 6 months or more. You must also have a valid work invitation from the employer you have worked for for 6 months or more.

You must meet the following requirements:

have a full-time, permanent job invitation from an employer in Saskatchewan. The job must be skilled - skill level NOC 0, A or B, or from a list of designated occupations;
have a SINP Job Approval Letter - permission from the province for your employer to hire foreign workers;
the job invitation must be from the same employer for whom you have worked for at least 6 months. NOC codes must also match;
if your occupation meets Skill Level C, your language proficiency must be 4 CLB or higher;
if your occupation requires licensure in Saskatchewan, the appropriate document must be provided.

Semi-skilled Agriculture Worker

Relevant for those who have at least 6 months of experience working in Saskatchewan. It is not necessary to be working in this province right now. Previous experience will suffice.

You must meet the following requirements:

  • have an invitation for full-time permanent employment from a Saskatchewan employer. The job must be in one of the following occupations:
  1. NOC 8431 - Farm Laborer;
  2. NOC 8432 - nursery or greenhouse worker;
  • have a SINP Job Approval Letter - permission from the province for your employer to hire foreign workers;
  • the job invitation must be from the same employer for whom you have worked for at least 6 months. NOC codes must also match;
  • at least a high school education. You must also evaluate your diploma or certificate;
  • if your occupation is at skill level C, your language proficiency must be 4 CLB or higher.

Health Professionals

Relevant to those who have worked in Saskatchewan for at least 6 months in one of the following professions:

  • physician;
  • nurse;
  • other health-related professions.

Hospitality Sector

Relevant for those who have now worked in Saskatchewan for at least 6 months for a SINP Hospitality-approved employer in NOC 6513, 6711 or 6731.
Previous experience in Saskatchewan is sufficient for NOC 6513 (i.e., you do not have to be working there right now).

The following criteria must be met:

  • the employer must be confirmed by the province (SINP Hospitality-approved). And you must have started working for him after he received this confirmation;
  • you have a work permit issued by Immigration Canada under the LMIA for one of the following occupations:
  1. NOC 6513 - waiters;
  2. NOC 6711 - Chef's Assistants;
  3. NOC 6731 - service personnel, cleaners;
  • have a high school education or higher;
  • the employer must offer you full-time employment for at least 6 months;
  • know English at CLB 4 level or above;
  • have a SINP Job Approval Letter - permission from the province for your employer to hire foreign workers.

Long-Haul Truck Driver

Category for truckers who have 6 months or more experience in Saskatchewan in this occupation.

The following criteria must be met:

  • the transportation company you are working for must be confirmed by Saskatchewan;
  • you are working under a temporary work permit issued under the LMIA;
  • have a Saskatchewan Class 1A driver's license;
  • have a full-time job offer;
  • know English at CLB level 4 or above;
  • have a SINP Job Approval Letter - permission from the province for your employer to hire foreign workers.

Students

A program for those who have graduated from a post-secondary institution in Canada and want to immigrate to Saskatchewan.

For those educated in Saskatchewan

You must meet the following requirements:

  • you have graduated from a recognized post-secondary institution and received a certificate / diploma / degree;
  • you have had paid employment in Saskatchewan for at least 6 months:
  1. Capmus or non-Capmus;
  2. Co-op work;
  3. A paid internship that can be verified by your institution;
  4. Work on a post-graduate work permit (post-graduate work permit) obtained after studying in Canada.
  • you currently have a valid post-graduate work permit;
  • you have a full-time, permanent job offer from an employer in Saskatchewan. The major must be relevant to your program of study;
  • have a SINP Job Approval Letter - permission from the province for your employer to hire foreign workers;
  • if your occupation meets Skill Level C, you must have a language proficiency level of 4 CLB or higher.

For those who were educated in another province in Canada

You must meet the following requirements:

  • you have completed a minimum of 1 academic year (8 months) at a recognized post-secondary institution and obtained a certificate / diploma / degree;
  • you have a work permit after graduating from a recognized post-secondary institution in Canada. You must have worked for at least 6 months;
  • you have a full-time permanent job offer from an employer in Saskatchewan. The major must be relevant to your program of study;
  • have a SINP Job Approval Letter - permission from the province for your employer to hire foreign workers;
  • if your occupation meets Skill Level C, you must have a language proficiency level of 4 CLB or higher.
